Sir Terry's Final Novel?
The title of Terry Pratchett's upcoming release can be viewed as having a morbid twist in the light of his recent documentary on the BBC. Terry's failing memory, due to a rare form of Alzheimer's Disease, has caused him to look closely at what we call 'Quality of Life' and whether it is right and proper for him to plan an exit strategy of his own free will , while he can still make make such a decision. It's all rather tragic but I think it's a brave and worthwhile endeavour to face a real though uncomfortable truth that we must all go in the end and should we be allowed to decide the time and condition of that end. This then could be his final novel and it will be difficult to read without the laughs being a little constricted.
